Bridgnorth Journal – Friday November 14 2003  
The last few days have been hectic for David Coe, who is the new manager at The Habit Restaurant and Bar in East Castle Street, Bridgnorth. David’s sister Tracey gave birth to Lillie-Anne last week, he got engaged to Penny Ashfield two days later and took over at The Habit on Monday with Tracey’s husband, Mark Smith as head chef. David was previous catering manager at The Symphony hall in Birmingham and has also been employed by Apollo Leisure, now Clear Channel, catering for theatres throughout the UK. Mark has runhis own pub in London and has been head chef at several outlets, including The Fox and Goose near Stratford-upon-Avon. David and Mark have over 20 years catering experience between them.

Shropshire Weekend  
Eating out can beome a bit of a Habit… particularly if you visit one of Bridgnorth’s oldest pubs – run by one of its newest landlords. The Habit, in East Castle Street, probably still better known to most of the area’s older residents as The Ball Hotel. The name change happened about three years ago, but the new owners moved in only at the beginning of the month.
